4G speeds available on 4G Mobile Broadband devices only; typical 4G speeds: 5 to 12 Mbps download, 2 to 5 Mbps upload. 4G speeds require 4G coverage. When traveling in the 3G Coverage Area, you can expect download speeds of 600 Kbps–1.4 Mbps and upload speeds of 500–800 Kbps. Coverage is NOT available in the Extended 1X/3G Data Coverage Areas or outside of the United States.
Data usage applies to Windows Automatic Updates and any other automatic updates. Go to the Control Panel on your netbook/notebook and/or the settings for other software to control updates manually.
